macOS 13+ · macFUSE kernel backend required
An early beta for deliberate testing. Keep backups of important local work.
A few useful details
Before you move in.
Are these real files?
They appear in Finder, your editor, and the terminal through a mounted filesystem. RepoReach downloads committed contents when needed; previews and file metadata checks can also trigger downloads. Edits live on your Mac and use ordinary Git commits and pushes.
What does Keep Downloaded mean?
Keep Downloaded makes the current checkout available offline. Other branches, historical file versions, Git LFS objects, and submodules may still require a connection.
Will closing RepoReach remove my folders?
Closing the management window leaves the background service running. Reopen RepoReach whenever you want to manage your repositories. You can explicitly stop the service and unmount the catalogue.
Does it upload every file I save?
No. RepoReach preserves normal Git behavior. Saving a file changes your local work; committing and pushing publishes it. Your repositories connect directly to GitHub.
How does Free Up Space protect my work?
RepoReach checks for local-only work before reclaiming a repository. If it finds edits, unpushed commits, stashes, or files that could be lost, it leaves the repository in place and explains what needs attention.
What does the beta need?
macOS 13 or later, Git, and macFUSE's kernel backend. Apple Silicon setup can require Recovery approval and Reduced Security. Review the setup guide and release notes before installing the beta.
